| The Thor is the most economical way to combine
the Washer and Dryer in One Machine. It operates on 110 Volts
and Requires NO venting to the outside. It is the size of a
dishwasher and can use existing plumbing and a dedicated 15
amp circuit. It can be installed on one side of the kitchen
sink or in a linen closet. It has mechanical dials for the wash
and dry cycles, and a 1,000 rpm spin speed. It is an EnergyStar
product, qualifying for utility rebates.
Thor Appliances, made in China, has greatly improved upon
the models made by Italian manufacturers, in that the condenser,
where the moisture is eliminated, is made of polyurethane,
instead of metal. The metal conducts heat and slows down the
drying process. The Thor’s plastic condenser speeds
the conversion of steam into water for efficient and quicker
drying times. It has a standard AC brush-less motor. All of
the springs, bearings, and spider arm are commercial-grade,
not residential-grade. It is easy for maintenance technicians
to repair after the warranty period. A video of the repair
process is offered to maintenance staff to simplify the process.
